To the members of Coastal Bend Shooters:

I am asking for your support for Club President. Don has held the office for many years and done a good job. Under his leadership the club has increased in membership and we have a large balance in the treasury.

All of you know who I am, but not all of you know me and what I am about. I have been a member of the club from its founding when the Texas Riviera Shooters organization was disbanded. I took some time off from shooting and came back when John Murray was the club president. I have served as the first 3-Gun Coordinator and later as Vice President, a post that I have held for a number of years. I organized the first carbine matches and have been the Match Director for CB Challenge 06 and 07. I was also the Match Director for the 1st Annual Texas State Carbine Championship.

I am very involved in the weekly club shoots both as Match Director and set up helper. I come early and stay late. I work hard and encourage others to do the same. Sometimes I am a little too direct but the medicine seems to be helping that. <grin>

I enjoy the sport and try to encourage new shooters to become involved. To that end I have asked Terry Panknin to run for Vice President. Terry is a good man and a hard worker. He, like a number of other club members, silently work hard to do whatever they can to make the club run and the shoots happen.

In conclusion I ask for your support in the upcoming election for club officers. Together we can take the club to the next level.
